Parish Councillors
All Councillors must sign an Acceptance-of-Office form and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct. The Clerk is employed by the Parish Council and it is the Clerk’s responsibility to attend and minute all meetings of the parish council and its committees. The Clerk is also the main point of contact for the public.
Councillors, either elected or co-opted, want to do something positive and make a difference by influencing decisions that affect your parish.
Parish Councillors give their time (they are not paid) to work on your behalf, aiming to improve the quality of life and the local environment. The parish council’s role is to represent the interests of the whole community, so residents’ views are important and welcomed.
